What type of Adelaide Hills ‘lifestyle’ do you want?
From the chic, style of Stirling to the quaint, historical charm of Strathalbyn, the townships that pepper the Adelaide Hills carry their own individual identities.
If you’re moving house and you’d like to look at nearby towns or if you’re re-locating to our community and are beginning your suburb search, grab a coffee and let’s ‘explore’ some Adelaide Hills towns. Our real estate agents are based all over the Hills, so we know this region well.
That ‘cosmopolitan-country’ vibe in the Adelaide Hills
You love the hills for its value, large houses and proximity to the city. You like to have the best of both worlds, by living in the hills but easy drives into the city when you want. You’re a foodie who loves artisan feasts, good coffee and perusing weekend markets.
You’ll feel right at home in suburbs like Stirling, Crafers, Aldgate and Hahndorf.
Farm, family life
Well, when it comes to raising a family, you can’t really go wrong, anywhere, in the Hills. If you’re the kind of family who wants plenty of space between you and your neighbours (so the boys can ride their dirt bikes and the girls, their horses), try Oakbank, Balhannah, Woodside, Lobethal and Birdwood.
These towns are easily accessible, close to major community sporting grounds, and the property sizes are generous.
Community & convenience
Do you love having everything in one place? A shopping centre with a supermarket, pharmacy, medical centre, post office and eateries? Living in, or close to, Mount Barker will make living in the hills convenient. It’s the centre of real estate in the Adelaide Hills, and the home of our office.
With some of the best schools in Mount Barker, this is where you’ll spend a lot of time if you have kids, need to do shopping or love to dine out. Adjoining towns like Littlehampton and Nairne are great options, too. But, Mount Barker is the ‘CBD’ of the hills.
Don’t be afraid to take a good old fashioned Sunday drive around the hills to experience the energy of each area yourself. You might connect with the pace of a town or even surprise yourself once you’re walking around the heart of a community. You thought you wanted Stirling’s accessibility but you fall in love with Ironbank’s relaxing charm.
Each town has its own essence and appeal, but it’s what you click with.
Nitschke focuses on the entire geographical area of the Adelaide Hills, including Strathalbyn and the Fleurieu Peninsula. Once you choose your favourite town, it’s onto finding the fun part – finding the house. Sometimes, though, the house ‘chooses’ you. Whichever way you find a property to buy or rent, our team of real estate agents are here for you.
