Meet the Team Series: Introducing Shani Hunt

Shani Hunt has always had an edge for property. Back in 1993, she bought half an acre in Nairne from a family member for just $35,000. While then, that was a lot of money, Shani had her focus on the long-term (like the best investment decisions are).

That first entry into real estate was the catalyst for occupying a further four houses, including her current home in Littlehampton.

Shani serves in a hybrid role of Property Management Team Leader and Business Development Manager. For the past 26 years, Shani’s built her real estate career, with her quick negotiation talent and can-do attitude.

But this isn’t a re-write of her resume. The Meet Your Team series helps you get to know the characters and personalities behind our real estate agents.

“While my heart is with property management, I’m fascinated by the building process,” Shani shares. When asked about her best client wins, she admitted it wasn’t easy to pick just one aspect.

“When I list a property that I have appraised for rental, I know I’m doing something right.”

Honesty is Shani’s most redeeming quality, and dare we say, the reason why she’s had such a long, abundant history with First National Nitschke. There’s a firm belief around the office that Shani is made for sales because of her supportive nature.

“I just keep telling people, I enjoy the ongoing landlord relationships that I build through managing their properties. The pinnacle is tenants becoming landlords themselves… and I have the privilege of helping them complete their journey.”

To Shani, lifestyle is everything. With summer her favourite season, she’s in her element enjoying the long days out on a signature Adelaide Hills deck (and her own pool). That said, her family trips to Woodside pool are the perfect excuse to get pizza from her favourite eatery.

Family is the centrepiece of her life, outside real estate. With her husband and three girls (who are growing up “too quickly”), weekends are family time for the Hunts – whether it’s fish and chips on the beach in the Fleurieu Peninsula, walking along the jetty and burning energy at nearby Bounce at Glenelg, or extending the invite to family for a picnic in the city.

But Shani’s heart belongs in the Adelaide Hills.

You’ll find her perusing the Stirling Markets and the quaint shops along Main Street and stocking up on fresh produce at Littlehampton Fruit Market. She’s favours coffee over wine, and alternates between Sazons or Grounds Cafes “to support both.” And we can’t forget her affinity for tea, which she happily sips at the Mount Barker Hotel (usually before a movie with her girls at Wallis).

Are you looking for a property manager for your house in the Adelaide Hills? Organise a time to meet Shani Hunt and learn more about how she can help you find your path in your real estate journey.

So, Sazons or Grounds?
