Nitschke Real Estate announces the passing of CEO

David passed away suddenly last Sunday, after losing his brave fight with terminal cancer. The close-knit Nitschke team have all been deeply affected by this loss, along with the greater Adelaide Hills community.

“On behalf of management, we want to take this time to thank our employees and clients for their support. I’ve proudly stepped into the position as Managing Director and will continue my Father’s legacy,” David’s son, Michael Nitschke said.

David’s was deeply committed to his employees and clients, as well as the Adelaide Hills, having lived and worked in the community for his entire life. The Hills shaped him, his life and his identity and he’ll be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Michael and the rest of the Nitschke team will continue to uphold his father’s vision to help individuals and families create their dream lifestyle in the Adelaide Hills and Fleurieu. Michael has been in a leadership role within the business for some time, having worked his way, within his Father’s company since 2008, and will now step up to lead the award-winning agency, as it continues its family-centric approach.

It’s been a significant year for Nitschke with the company re-brand, the acquisition of LJ Hooker Strathalbyn and notable mentions at Quarterly Awards. The real estate agency also won the Highest Office Growth award for their new Strathalbyn office. Further more, in the property management realm, they won the Top Five Property Management Office, as well as the Highest Growth Rate also for this category. All of which was quite recently achieved under David’s leadership.

He was extremely proud of whole team and thanked them for their great work and commitment to the agency’s people-first ethos – a culture which Michael plans to encourage, moving forward. Michael and the team sincerely appreciate and thank their clients, surrounding businesses and the Adelaide Hills community for their well wishes and support.

“This sudden loss has been extremely hard on our immediate family, as well as the Nitschke Real Estate team. I’d like to take this time to honour the lifetime of work my Father built,” Michael added. “It’s why we’re all standing here today. It’s my honour to carry on his legacy.”
